Stat: WHR Marketing's clients made an average profit of $3,275 (per product) after just 3 months selected to sell using an Amazon Research Tool (AMZScout).
This is their flagship tool, and obviously the one they’ve put the most work into. It works as you might expect. When you open up any page on Amazon it will show a lot of information in the search results.
It also quite literally works on any page, unlike some other, similar tools. There is a lot of information you can get such as sales volumes and revenue, averages, sales history, BSR history, etc.
The columns of data you see are fully customizable and you can pick and choose what you need. You can choose which columns of data are displayed, and you can also filter out results using a decent amount of criteria. This does come in handy since so much information can be overwhelming, especially if a beginner is using it.
So for a beginner, it would not be a bad idea to just select a handful of the most crucial columns that are most beneficial to sopping up a good, potential product idea. Apart from those columns of data, there are a few handy, additional features that give you a bit more insight, such as the “Niche Score” window:
It’s in the very top right corner of the extension window. And as you can see, it gives you a sort of a breakdown of the search results that are on the page you are looking at.
It isn’t particularly extensive, but it is something that a beginner would find useful. After all, this tool is meant to help you continuously get product ideas. So being able to estimate a product or a niche quickly, is what you should be looking for.
AMZ Scout Review – Find A Niche
There is also a button that’s called “find a niche”. This randomly takes you to a page that has a high niche score, and that isn’t generally saturated. This is another little feature that is meant to give a bit of a push to a new seller who doesn't know where to begin their search.
In theory, it sounds like a good idea. But AMZScout has countless users and a lot of them might be seeing the same niches.
AMZScout did put a “Saturation score” that notifies you of how many people have found the same niche you did, which sort of makes up for this. It’s best to use this option as more of an inspiration, rather than outright using the idea it gives you.
It’s also worth mentioning that when you click on any individual search result, you have a handful of additional options as well, like a Profit FBA Calculator. You can also immediately search for the product on Alibaba, get a list of main keywords that the item is indexed on, and add the results to one of the other tools. You can also use a tool such as AliDropship to do this.
Now, the keywords sort of come in handy so that you can see what you are looking at in terms of your future product listing optimization and PPC strategy. They do, however, have a couple of other tools that are meant just for that. Overall, their AMZ Scout Pro Extension pretty much does everything you can possibly think of when you are browsing through Amazon looking for product ideas.
AMZScout Review – WebApp Product Database and Product Tracker
These 2 tools are not like the extension. They are opened as a tab on your browser in the Web App, which is on the AMZScout website. The product database is exactly what the name suggests- a database containing all of the supposedly relevant information about all the products on Amazon. This would seem to be the case, considering how many results you get from your filtered searches.
The concept behind it works differently than the Extension. You simply put your criteria into the database, and you get a list of results that meet that criteria.
You can look at this as searching for product ideas from another angle, instead of browsing and looking for things on your own and checking them. This way you sort of filter out exactly what you need.
The other tool – Product Tracker- is basically your own choice of product ideas. You can import your product ideas from the extension or the database into the tracker. Additionally, you can compare all your ideas side by side with all of the relevant information.
By using the tools, you should keep finding product ideas with relative ease, and having a separate tool to keep them in a list actually does come in handy. Even if you pick your first product to sell, you will have a list of products that are next in line if the first one works out. The product tracker also gives you the following information on all the product ideas stored in it:
AMZ Scout Keyword Tracker
This tool is meant to track the organic ranking of your product's main keywords. This is something that only comes into play if you are already selling. Organic rankings are very important. Keeping an eye on them can help you direct your PPC campaigns, and be sort of an indicator of how aggressively you should bid for targets.
Understanding the correlation between organic ranking PPC and sales estimates is very important early on. So this is also a tool that might come in handy to both a new Amazon seller and an experienced one.
Since this tool is included in the “new Seller's Bundle” that AMZScout is selling right now. It’s not exactly an Amazon Product Research Tool that you can make use of while you're doing product research in the early phase. It’s only useful later on.
AMZ Scout Review – Free Tools
Included in that bundle are also a handful of other, simpler tools:
Amazon FBA Fees calculator – It’s basically a window that gives you the exact Amazon fees for any product, and helps you calculate the margins. This enables you to very precisely calculate your margins, which are a crucial decision-making factor. Using this tool allows you to quickly dismiss a product idea, or to pursue it further.
AMZScout Quick View
It’s a tool that sort of imbeds itself into your Chrome Extension Browser and gives you additional data on any individual product, on any page of Amazon. Also, the little data blocks are right beneath each of the listings.
Stock stats
It’s a tool that gives you the inventory levels of any listing that you choose. Now, this might not be the best tool for beginners. Since making decisions based on your competitor's inventory levels is a bit of an advanced move for a beginner. The information is useful, it’s just not information that a beginner would know how to use.
AMZScout Pricing
Taking everything into consideration, along with the fact that this bundle only costs $24.90 a month. It’s a rather good deal.

AMZScout Review – Wrapping up
This covers pretty much everything a beginner seller would need. In fact, there are a few things that are not exactly for beginner sellers. But AMZScout wanted to sweeten the deal with some additional items in their bundle.
They’ve also included a full beginner seller course. As well as some other insights that are available in the form of a newsletter. However, those insights are reserved only for users that get a yearly subscription. Overall, if you are a beginner seller, you should seriously consider this bundle.
